Founded in '76

1976 - The start of one of the hottest summers on record, with weeks without rain; the summer of ABBA, T-Rex and David Bowie; of the Notting Hill riots and when Big Ben stopped dead. But 1976 was, more importantly (in our humble opinion) the year that the POD story began.

Creating Icons

Rejecting the chunky platform trend of the 1970s, POD emerged as a pioneer of casual shoes, ahead of the sneaker culture wave.

As that famous summer came to a close POD was firmly dominating the casual shoe scene. The icons from ’76 have stood the test of time; the collection today is a mix of heritage designs and fresh takes on classic styles. The crepe soles preserve the memory of retro rebellion and nonconformity from that summer in ‘76, whilst captivating a new generation of POD enthusiasts.

Quality

Developing a collection that is designed to last a long time is at the heart of our business. In order to achieve this goal, we spend a significant amount of time developing each collection. At the heart of our brand is the belief that good designs are long-lasting, so we want every style to have longevity and to be transseasonal.
